Yaashinee's Bday

ok this is a backdated post.. it was Yaashinee's bday on the 9th October. She had requested that we had a school bday party with her friends, so we did.... and another one at home, in Genting actually... to please the grandparents who HAD to celebrate the li'l princesses big day. Ok her school party was good.. she had a barney cake, they couldnt do a princess cake coz i ordered it late ( my mistake) and party packs filled with more toys than food....

That's her with a party pack after attending a function.. she is sleepy n tired and exhausted.... but yet she still poses for photo's... ah.. i've told you she is vain....

That's her on her birthday .. off to school.. with a big badge saying "birthday girl"
This is the cake:

These are her li'l friends ... all eagerly waiting for her to blow the cake...

Giving out the party packs.....So in the end it all was a happy day for all..... i'll post the other party.. in the next post...

A Fathers Poem To A Child

This is a poem which touched my heart. It was written by a father whose child is a 10 month old baby Rachel who has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Just for this morning,
I am going to smile when I see your face and
laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning,
I will let you choose what you want to wear,
and smile and say how perfect it is.
Just for this morning,
I am going to step over the laundry and
pick you up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning,
I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me
how to put that puzzle of yours together.
Just for this afternoon,
I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off,
and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon,
I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble
when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck,
and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon,
I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up,
or second guess every decision
I have made where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon,
I will let you help me bake cookies,
and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon,
I will take us to McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal
so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening,
I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born
and how much I love you.
Just for this evening,
I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening,
I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch
and count all the stars.
Just for this evening,
I will snuggle beside you for hours,
and miss my favourite TV shows.
Just for this evening
when I run my finger through your hair as you pray,
I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.
I will think about the mothers and fathers
who are searching for their missing children,
the mothers and fathers
who are visiting their children’s graves instead of their bedrooms.
The mothers and fathers
who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly and s
creaming inside that little body
And when I kiss you goodnight
I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer.
It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for
nothing, except one more day............

Bicycle

My dad had wanted to get Yaashinee a bicycle.... he had been waiting for a whole week for me to bring her back home. So the day was on last Monday... i took her back to my parents house after her visit to the pead.. yes she was not feeling well.... this is the third time in three weeks me taking her to her peadiatrician an he says its notmal for her to have these fever and flu as she has just started nursery and her body is bulding its immune system... i really hope it builts its immune system fast enough so that i dont go insane having her sick once a week...

So this week i did not send her to school.... her teacher also told me that there are a number of students in her class who has been infected with chicken pox... so that's another reason for my fear. Anyway we just visited her pead again to get her chicken pox vaccination... what a relieve...

Ok.. i know this post is supposed to be abt her bicycle... so back to the bicycle..... we went to the toy factory near my parents place... and she went around the whole place and finally we 'shortlisted' two bicycles... one pink and another purple... she wwas more interested towards the pink as it had a handle to push the cycle.... but we were more inclined towards the purple... so it was the purple....

She is still trying to ride the bicycle... hope she learns it fast......

The

A present for grandma..

As it is my moms birthday today, we went to Jusco to get her a present.. the little madam was so excited by the thoughtr of going to Jusco... it was the playground which is the reason for her excitement... and not the present she is going to get her grandma....

This is her in one of those trolley cars... and her hair is back with her curls...

So we went and got mum her pressie... and no shopping is complete without dresses for the little one...

Once we reached home.. she was so eager to give her grandma her present that she even volunteered to open the present.... she sang her "Happy Birthday to you... " and then reminded us that her 'Princess Birthday is coming'.... This year i better be prepared for a celebration... two actually.. one at the nursery .. and another at home.. as now she associated birthdays with cakes and presents...
